I think I may have some of you beat as far as heat goes. It's around 120-140* around the boilers depending upon where you are in the summer. And we have wonderfully heavy, long sleeve FR shirts to wear. I love watching the effects it has on some of our college co-ops who think they should never have to leave A/C behind.

Ahhh, FR. How I hate thee in the summer. The thinner shirts aren't bad (tan), the thicker ones suck (blue), as do the pants, and the jumpsuits are hot as hell (midnight blue).

Yesterday (100+F with 108 heat index), I was 20 ft up on an extension ladder putting up FR insulation on structural steel on the 4th floor of a substation where quite a bit of switch gear/inductors are located. Did I mention the building only has stairs and we had to carry the material & ladder up/down?

With this heat wave, we've coined a new phrase: "Swamp ass by 7:30". The things I do to afford racing... rotf.gif
