Is anyone running an in car DVR?

I'm looking at a couple things...

http://www.eyespyvideo.com/videorecorders/mobile/mdvr-4.htm

I really like this one:

http://traqmate.com/ecommerce/os/catalog/p...?products_id=67

My goal is mpeg2 or 4 audio/video, single video input, 'high' resolution (720xwhatever)... I'm trying to stay around $600 or under.. I'll pay more for something better.

A nice data logging system would be awesome.. I just don't think that I'm willing to pay the money for it... unless I can get close to my target price. The traqmate looks like it's upgradeable if I want a full blown system.. I don't have $2k to blow on this idea.

Huge benefit to me is SD or CF cards. I can dump the videos off to my PSD along with all of my 20D & 5D shots.

I currently have a HDD based camcorder... it freaks out at the violence of the car and powers itself off.

Opinions? What else is out there?

Good driving and that video quality is very lifelike for non-HD.
