Copied from a member of my SCCA region:

If anyone sees or hears about a black FSCCA (chassis 24, The car number is 98 in white lettering) or anything of the such please let me know as mine with the trailer were stolen from the Sterling area in Illinois over the weekend. The trailer is a plain white Haulmark Transport dual axle 14' by 7' (under 3000 lbs) with no markings or graphics. It has swing open doors in the back not a ramp door. The inside has white painted walls with a gray epoxy painted floor and a tire rack on the left side wall. The wheels stick outside the trailer with black fenders. The rims are standard white steel spokes. Thanks, Tony Specht (ajspecht@msn.com)

I guess Wisconsin is the hot place to dump a trailer, and that's not more than 90 minutes from here, so if anyone comes across this, let him know.

Hey, hey, hey. My wife does want rid of it, but I need it to get back to the states. It has to stay in your driveway for a while.....

WOOHOO!!! I got my truck back. After 4 weeks they found it next to a condemned house. My stereo, hood/grille, front bumper and battery are missing but she runs great and not too much damage.

That's excellent news. I'm not sure what a hood (bumper, grille, etc) is worth these days, but I guess it was worth something. Come to think of it, who steals batteries these days????

I don't have the details, but I was informed today that the trailer and car were both recovered. smile.gif

Glad the car/trailer were recovered. hopefully there were fingerprints and the dumba**es are already on file. That made my theft/vandalism a little easier to deal with when they caught the criminal.

Not always true...

My 1979 Z28 was stolen in 1983 while a friend and I were at Six Flags over Texas in Houston. My car was the second car stolen that day by a certain individual. He wrecked it when the cops gave chase. He made bail and stole a THIRD car, and when he was caught then and only then did the system finally put the bail out of reach. He was found guilty of all three counts, and was eligible for 2 years per count. However, the judge ran the sentences concurrently and the individual was up for parole in six months.

Other than the death penalty, I'm not impressed with Texas justice...

It might have been better if you woulda caught him yourself in Texas... i think they still have the law written allowing the use of lethal force to protect yourself and your property. cool.gif
