Hi i just joined this site, i found out about his site from new jeresy f-body owners association (www.njfboa.org). Anway, im from the South Jersey (Philadelphia area) and im interested in getting into road racing. If anybody has information on classes or venues in my area that would be great. Ive searched around on google but have nothing in my area, so if theres anything in the Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey or New York area i would like to get information about it.
Thank you

When you say road racing, do you mean RACING, or TRACKING? For tracking, in this area, there are the BMW clubs, Trackmasters, PDA, NASA, etc. For racing there is SCCA, NASA, etc. Tracks in this area are Limerock, Watkins Glen, Pocono, Summit Point, Beaverun, etc. Describe more what your objectives are and we can go from there.

Based on your post, it sounds like you're just starting out and a lapping day would be a good way to get your feet wet. I'm in Pittsburgh and the nearest event that I know (for sure) that some of us will be at is at Beaver Run in June. Get your car prep-ed and come on out.

I'll have to suggest you go to an autocross to get your feet wet. It may not be what you want to do right away, but it's cheap enough to get into. I think the SCCA holds events at Englishtown while NASA has events at Giants Stadium and PNC Arts Center (exit 116 off the Parkway I think.) I'm sure the SCCA has something in the Philly region too. I'm a NASA member and they've joined with 2 other clubs for this year so the clubs wont be fighting for dates, hopefully! No autocroos dates have been anounced yet, but they have some HPDE and race dates up.
