Good luck... biggrin.gif I don't know that I've ever seen anyone sell their's!!!! Sam Strano has this:

Suspension Techniques
35mm (1.375”) front bar w/urethane bushings: $148.00
25mm (1”) rear bar w/urethane bushings: $140.00
Package (both bars): $269.00
RedPhenx
wait, that is really cheap!
I guess when I ordered my bilsteins from him, the lady taking the order misunderstood me and told me it was gonna be 300 something.

edit: not to thread hijack, so even though i replaced the bushings fairly recently on the stock piece, is it worth getting the new 35mm front one (i don't think the back will help me out as much since this is only a street driven car, and I don't want to do too much to my turning at one time smile.gif )
how hard is this piece to install?
/end thread hijack

It's worth it and VERY easy, it'll take you 20-30 minutes. It's the very best first suspension piece you can put on your car IMHO.

I think Sam has to add $39 additional shipping to get the parts to his place.
RedPhenx
yeah, it is much heaver than stock... though i suppose that's all relative for the benefits i suppose

Since I'm sure Sam is reading this, how are you doing on your hollow bar design? Now's the time to work hard on this since the season hasn't started, even in Florida? wink.gif

shox.com has the front (35mm) for $139 + shipping and the package (35mm and 25mm) for $249.

Shipping is prolly around $25-$30. I hear they are heavy mofos.

The set of bars is $271.66. They went up slightly as did the individual bars a couple of months ago... $300+ is a mistake unless Arlyn was including freight. I've been selling so many fronts that ST raised the price on the front bar, kept the rear the same and barely changed the kit to sell more rear bars. They are not happy I don't sell more kits, but I'd rather use a rear bar I believe in than sell you all something just because it's easier..... Shox.com probably doesn't care either way.

I can tell you that the bars are not going to become less expensive, and with fuel surcharges UPS and FedEx charge now, shipping won't either. Shox.com is a much larger company than are we, and they choose to ignore ST's request that parts not be sold for less than the Jobber pricing. Which is why the last time ST ran out of bars my orders were filled before any of Shox.com's were. And shipping is only $25-30 if you happen to live on the west coast. The bars have to ship at the oversize 2 rate because of the size. That uses to be about $35 to the east coast, now pushing $40-45 with UPS pricing changes.

We try and be price competitive, and I think you'll find on most things we are, if not better on certain items. But we have to make a living and pay for the phones you guys can call for tech help. wink.gif

Doug's case is different as he is in Canada. I have to ship all parts to Canada myself, ST will not drop-ship them. That means his incur more shipping than anyone's in the states, basically two freights, one to get the bars here, another to get them shipped to Canada with the customs paperwork.

As for the hollow bar project, we're working on it, but nothing new.

Doug where at in Canada are you? If you are near Windsor you would be relatively close to me. Detroit MI.

If you can hold off, and if Sam thinks the Hollows will be ready by the end of March, I can sell you mine and we could meet up somewhere.

You save some on the bar and alot on the shipping.

And I wouldn't be takin a sale from Sam since I'd be buying the hollow.
Doug Phillips
Lonnie you have PM.

Sam I still hope to be able to come down for a T2R this year.

The best description of the difference in the stock vs the 35mm bar was that it "made the car feel smaller". Quite true,(thank you very much, Sam). Once I get my shocks on, I'll be as ready as I can for the return of "Junior" Johnson to my area. Maybe I should consider a diet as well......... cool.gif

Got a front.

May still need a rear.
