sorry didnt know where else i could post this. anyway im trying to find a source for some battery foam. i have no idea what its officially called, but its basically the foam that is wrapped around car batteries. i know the C5 has it and i believe other cars have it. i don't want the precut stuff i need just a section of it to use elsewhere. supposedly this stuff absorbs battery acid and want let it corrode metal and other materials. is that right? if anyone has a lead or a source id appreciate it.

I always thought it was a blanket to keep it warm durning the winter time.

Guess you could check the dealer...they come on the trucks and Vettes.

true but im sure all they will have is precut stuff to actually go around a battery. i need it for another purpose.

does anyone know what its for if its not for absorbing acid?
