Why can't we build a track like that over here? I'm sure there is plenty of real estate in one of the 'empty' states in the Midwest!!
I thought it was all over about half way through the lap, when he hit the rumble strip and the cameras went out of focus!

Man, he hit sixth at least once on a very long straight. Mega fast. Could've been faster if the red porsche got out of his way.

Whew...I'm outta breath just watching...
I wonder what he was doing on that lap, qualifying? He looked really pumped once he crossed the finish line.

Well, GM built a proving ground that kinda mimicked the Ring. I know, it's no good for us, the public.

Can't wait to see this video....but 52meg on dial-up. Good thing I'll be staying in a hotel with hi-speed tonight. I've seen some crazy videos of a RUF Yellow Bird at the Ring. I probably have it burnt on a cd somewhere.

Yep that is one of my favorite tracks to drive , especially when both tracks are hooked together.

AWESOME!!!! You better have a good memory to drive that track at the limit for an entire lap.
Get the Game Grand Prix Legends and you can drive that track. Incredebly accurate.

That video is AWESOME! It makes me think, "oh shit, he's gonna crash!", but then I realize I'm not watching a vid of my driving...

I saw Hans Stuck in 91 driving in DTM in South Africa. His car placement and shift points (always within 1 foot) were amazing. Looks like he lost none of his touch.

As stated b/4, search engines are great!!! Try using 'em rather than relying on others!!!

Was that a clutchless trans or is he that much of a bad ass?

It is a sequential shift for that class
roy

Whoops wrong class . It is not a seq shift . Kinda think of it as a 6 speed Jerico but made by BMW. Dog engagement gearbox with straight cut gears.

Wow,
I would hate to have to share the track with him.
I wonder if he sucked the windshield out of any of those cars he passed, he made it look like many of them were parked not racing.
I get tired of BMW posers with their fog light on on clear nights. Pretty clear that there are some real BMW drivers out there.

AARRRGGGHHHH!!
After over 5 HOURS downloading this friggin file ( at a max of 2.4 kb/sec), the zip was corrupt! I simply can't endure the wait again. (Stop Laughing, I'm on 28k dialup!!! It is a bit rural down here!)
What??....Oh...You mean I don't have to sit and wait for it to download? I could leave the desk? I could actually go to bed and it would still load? By itself? Hmmph! I think I'll try it...
(and to think I've been accused of being a control freak!)

I just recently got past those dial-up days.....the worst was when letting it download overnight only for it to lose the connection at like 80% complete and for it not to resume at that point......arrrrggggghhh!

Go to
FastDrives site for some great video. That's were this was first posted, about a year ago. Downloading may be easier from here, as well. A lotta Euro stuff, but I've put a couple SWC race videos up, too.
