I'll take one. I don't really like those jacks, but I'll use one for trips to the autocross events and then throw it away at that price.

they also have 6 ton jack stands at 14.99 pair

Me too... smile.gif

A 3" minimum height has some definite advantages for a lowered car.

Recommendation:

For the money, this is an excellent jack. I beat the hell out of mine, throwing it into and out of the trunk, using it on a dirt floor, etc., and other than an occasional retightening of the fasteners (prolly obviated by some loctitie smile.gif ) have had zero problems.

Battery Acid WILL remove the finish, tho...

I just need it as a "beater jack". I've already got 3 floor jacks and 6 jack stands in my garage (what's one more?). Just something to take to events that weighs less than my 100 lb shop jack.
trackbird
I just bought one. It looks like a typo on the part number on that coupon. If the store can't find it, ask them to look at "similar numbers". My strore gave me the jack, but the number was different (2 digits are flipped).
tom97ss
Picked mine up today and jack stands . Ok got a new email...... 119.99 for a 2 ton shop crane(engine hoist) looks like i'll be making another visit tomorrow. ph34r.gif Man i should ask harbor freight for sponsorship ...

Oh, and a 2000 lb hoist and a 1200 lb engine stand. Actually, I need to find a larger garage on sale......

For just that reason, I'll be ordering one.

I'm always getting beat by "minimum" shipping requirements. How about I just come pick it up?

I picked mine up tonight.

I do have a problem though. The saddle only moves a slight amount, and not until the handle goes ALL THE WAY down.

Need oil?-I didn't check it. Where can I get hydraulic jack oil-the HF store is kinda out of my way-I figured Autozone or similar.
robz71lm7
Lonnie, autozone or any self respecting auto parts store will sell jack oil. It's usually in the chemical isle.

Read the instructions for bleeding it on the lifting arm. That fixed mine. You unscrew the bleed valve (on the right), pump the handle several times rapidly, close the lifting valve (twist the handle) and then the bleed valve as I remember. The instructions are there, that will probably fix yours as well.

Mine needed oil followed by bleedintg to make it work.

One word of caution - the lifting cup is not very strong at the edges. Mine is broken (I let someone else change tires with it....) The load should always be roughly on the center of the cup, where it's supported. I use a hockey puck as a lifting pad to both avoid damaging the subframe AND distribute the load on the aluminum cup.

I keep intending to shave the puck down a little and just glue it in.
trackbird
Good info Sean, I hadn't considered that. I wonder if we can swap a steel lifting cup from another jack into it? I'll pay the 10 ounce penalty for the extra strength.

With coupon in hand, I hit the local Harbor Freight retail store this morning about 9am ...

I handed the clerk the coupon and said ... "Gimme one of dem, pleez."

In a jiffy, another clerk shuttled one to the front and she aksed how much the coupon said. I told her "$59"

She said, this store has them on sale today and tomorrow for $55 ...

WooHoo!

Thanks Tom for the heads up ...
