Since I started a thread I thought I would split them up into autox and road race.
To keep one thread from being a bagillion pages long....
Whats up your sleeves

Normal maintenance stuff ...
Trans fluid
Diff fluid
It's getting about time for new shocks.
And was thinking of going up on my spring rates.
Remove the rest of the radio gear
Remove the front bumper
This might be the last year for the car to be registered and inspected ...

Gonna try
UE Decoupled TA
UE Lowered PHB
Shocks or revalve to match LPHB
Lower Front LCA's
Stiffer Springs all around to match LPHB
....
....and on and on...

Change all fluids
LG G2 Springs
Revalved/shorteneed Bilsteins
Strano 35mm Hollow Front Bar
SLP HD Swaybar Mounts
Prothane Tranny Mount
LG Lower Front Control Arms
LG Upper Front Control Arms
LG Rear Aluminum Rod End Control Arms
LCA Relo-brackets
UE Panhard Lowering Bracket
VFN Fiberglass Hood
Hawker Battery
Harland Sharp Roller Rockers
Lexan Windows
Replace Recaro Sports with Kirkey Aluminum Seats
Gutting of the entire car
I think that's it. I'm starting on it this week. I have about half of the parts. I think that it should handle a lot better next year compared to my stock springs/32mm bar!

Since I probably won't get to re-build the Hi-Po motor, I'll just do the usual maintanence on the car and trailer.
Properly scale the car for roll center and add new re-lo brackets for the rear LCA's.
With the new bullet cam coming, try new camera locations and maybe pre-wire a few.

Same response basically as my autox response, hit the track! There are some maintenance things on the '84 TA CMC car, nothing special. I am getting it cornerweighted at Blaine Fabrication at some point. That car is pretty dialed in, can't wait to see how it goes with cornerweighting! Alan (Blaine Fab) said it was pretty off the last time it was in there and it sure is fast now!
'94 TA future CMC will start the gutting process, installation of CMC legal Unbalanced Engineering components, basic stuff. I am hoping to drive it on the street a bit so I can get used to the T-56. I am used to the T5! Then off to Blaine Fab again!
I may be looking for a ride at the 25 hrs of Thunderhill depending on my availablity at that time.

Julie, just put the T5 in the 94, since you're already used to it, and 'cause ya don't need a 6th gear anywayz.

Winter time for me means actually getting to the road course... I have been so busy with the dirt track car that I haven't been to the road course this year.
But before I do in Nov.
Fix intake leak
brake fluid change
new front pads - possibly rear pads.
install new torsion, c-clips and a few new studs
Then get back to work on the dirt track car for next year.

First and foremost, try and get the car to the Putnam HPDE in October.
I might sell a kidney and hop for coilovers as well.
After that I'm focusing on putting in as much overtime over winter-break as I can cram in...

tenative plans are to fix the collapsed lifter and then quite possibly sell the car.

Looking foward to a HPDE day Nov 6 then wait till snow fly's. Put car in garage that I cant do any work in. After that sit at computer and read what everybody else is doing and try to figure out what Im going to do when the car comes out in April. John

Good luck ...
The F-Body market is very bad right now. I tried this past spring for a couple of months and only received 1 serious inquiry.

As funds allow and in this order:
Cut holes and unneccesary pieces off the car to reduce weight
Replace throw-out bearing, clutch, flywheel
Brake ducts
Rear Lexan window
If I decide to change the car to no longer be street-legal:
Remove cat
Remove airpump
Remove side windows and associated electrics
Remove power mirror electrics and put mirrors in fixed position
Remove headlight assemblies and associated wiring
Remove wiper reservior and associated wiring
Remove stock dash and replace with aluminum
Gut inside of the bumper covers
This all assumes that my motor survives. A broken motor changes everything.
Regardless, I have to decide if I am running CMC or AI in 2005 before I do too much.

Yeah, I am hoping since mine is more of a "race car" it might bring in a few more bites than normal. chances of actually selling it are slim, especially with what I am going to be asking for it.

Keith, before you go that far with the car I'd strongly consider an enclosed trailer. Even though I'm rebuilding my engine to a 383, going through the transmission with some Viper internals, replacing my clutch/flywheel (with ?), painting and mounting my VFN hood, and installing a rear lexan window I'm still going to get an enclosed trailer by early next year. I'm determined. BTW, counting on a high mileage engine to make it through another season is asking for what happened to me this year. I went to one day of a weekend race and I was done for the year. I could have at least freshened it up over the winter without a lot more work than I put into it to change the cam and do the other things I did.
Boyce, I also wish you luck selling your car. I'm seeing a lot more of them for sale over the last year or so and they sit for a long time. I see 3 of them every day on my way home in their owner's driveways. If you do sell yours we'll miss you.

So Mike have you decided to stick it out in AIX? It would seem so.

Well, at Putnam Park this year I bought a new set of 275 Toyos and was AI legal. I figured I'd give it a try for some of this season. I would have continued on with that plan, but with the needed engine rebuild because of bearing issues I just can't bring myself to rebuild it back to stock. Thus, the final decision to just go play in AIX for real this time. Of course I have to get my 17x11 wheels back from Eric.

Make ya a deal...get your car in the 1:39's at Mid-O and you can have the 17x11s back cleaned and re-treaded.

Mike, I have alot of concurrent things bouncing around in my head right now. If I remove 4 or so mods from my car right now, I am completely CMC-legal (and still too heavy). If you look at the lap times of CMC cars (when they actually show up), I am not much different from their times (+ and -). In addition, if I go CMC, then I will keep the car street legal so many of the diet ideas will go "out the window". My initial goals for this year were to learn to drive the car as it was (I gave up), get seat time and show improvment. I have done all of these, but I got fed up with the car's setup - I just can't drive a car with that kind of setup. My goals for this weekend are 1:08's. If I do that, I will have gained 4 seconds from my first visit with the car and 6 seconds from my old LS1. Small goals, but I have made consistent progress. Many AI drivers find it hard to believe that I do have a very competitive spirit (I've taken a verbal shot or two from one of the more "outspoken" drivers), but I've had to temper it to take my baby steps this year and be patient. I am not sure I will be as patient next year.
I have also come to the conclusion that there are two keys to being a front-runner in AI OH/IN - a reliable engine and rain tires. The approach for rain tires is simple enough. With the f-bodies, I think the engine is an advantage over the Mustangs. Let me explain. Through both my autocross and track experience, I have observed that people who tweak their motors seem to have more failures than guys that just do simple bolt-ons (like my car) or nothing (like my old car). From the factory, the LS1 doesn't need much to be close to the power weight ratios and the LT1 only needs a little. ...and of course the LS6 is just perfect! On the other hand, the "year-for-year" stock Mustang motors need modifications to get where they need to be. This gives them reliability issues, IMO. This is the f-body's opening... As it turns out, this advantage is even larger in CMC, but the LS1 is not a possbility here.
So, my approach on the motor from here is to get this one rebuilt or simply buy a used one. I haven't been able to take buying a used motor from an individual seriously yet. It just leaves too many unknowns. I have been homing in on a Jasper Engine (<$2,500) and that one comes with a 18 month warranty for "off road" use. As much as I want the LS1, the LT1 will allow me to keep CMC open as a possibility down the road...
That brings me around to your point. Jim Pantas is selling a used, enclosed trailer for less than $3,500 right now and I've been watching it and drooling... Problem is that if I buy an enclosed trailer, I have to buy another tow vehicle. If I buy an enclosed trailer and another tow vehicle, there is no way I can put any money at all into the car. ...and the idea of being *this slow* next year does not appeal to me at all.
PS F-bodies placed 1-2 on the Sunday Mid Ohio AI race last weekend. Nice to see.
