My brother's kit shows up next week! He's got the WRX apart and off the lift. He's got a buyer for the body, and it ships out pretty soon. I think he sold it for $600. And he's sold over $1000 worth of other parts that he doesn't need.

This thing is going to be a rocket. Apparently the weight is a little heavy because R&T weighed the car with a full tank of gas. Even still, it's going to be a blast to drive. He ordered the "S", which is the street legal kit. I can't wait to help him build it.

Metrics tested/measured:

0-60 3.8 seconds
1/4 mile 12.4 seconds
Road Holding 1.12 G*
curb weight 2012 lbs. **
power: 270 rwhp, 300lb ft @ 4300 rpm

* Tires were DOT legal race tires.

I think it was a cold day as well, it'll have even better numbers in warmer weather.

I still pause when I see that. I've known Jack for years. He co-drove my 2002 Z28 at a few autocross events in 2005 and is an all around good guy.
