Time to redo the plugs in preperation for the PE130. Plugs are an issue that I found to pretty much be a user preference but want to get some input. Right now I am using a NGK TR55. What kind of plugs are you guys running and why?

I'm running Bosch Platnums.

Why? I guess because I always have. I've used Bosch in everything for many years. However, for your use, I think I'd avoid platnum. It is a catalyst and with the heat you'll be putting in the motor, the electrodes could glow and cause detonation. I won't say that they will do that, but they could. I had a set in my '89 Formula and my MSD "evaporated" the electrodes. There were just holes in the ceremic left, but I never knew it to drive the car, it ran great!

I used Bosch 1 time. 4 of the 8 craked and all of the spark leaked out of the porcelain and got all over the block. wink.gif

I won't use them again. AC Delco. biggrin.gif

TR6 - high compression.

I have not went back to the stock heat range, because the TR6 read like spark plugs should. Nor have I noted KR.
