Looking to get my car on the ground in front at least to make easier to roll. Looking for any 3rd gen k-member to help. Thanks, Pat gr_judge.gif

Go to a yard and bring lots of tools. Or if you have the means, but a junker off craigs list for few hundred bux and part it out. That's how I got a lot of spare parts smile.gif

Actually, your best bet is look on craigs list. Given the current economy there's probably a few people parting 3rd gens out in your area (there's quite a few around here). You just need to find them and offer them some cash for a part that they otherwise couldn't sell.

I've got a 3rd gen crossmember that I took out of my AI car last year when I switched to CMC. It's been modified with the center section cut out and a tubular cross brace welded back in for oil pan/header clearance. This part has been in the car from '91 till '08 and very solid. I pulled the bolts, dropped the modified one out, and bolted a donor stock crossmember back in with no issues.

I'm located in Bloomington, IL but visit Indy often and could meet you there.

Let me know if you're interested. Best to email me at SFrank944@aol.com

Would you mind posting some pictures of it? I picked up a 4th gen with a tubular k-member and I want one for my IROC project. I am curious how a modified stock one looks. My apologies for hi-jacking this thread. BranZ

I'll get some photos early next week.

My car was originally built for SSGT then modified to AS. The headers that were on it wrapped under the engine and around like the stock exhaust is run under the passenger footwell. The oil pan was also modified for this clearance.
