The Night Before Easter
Twas the night before Easter and all through the woods
The bunnies were busy packing their goods.
The eggs were all colored so pretty and bright,
All things were "go" for the big, special night.
The baskets were waiting, all decorated with care,
In hopes that the Bunny soon would be there,
My little brother Sam was asleep in his bed,
While visions of Easter eggs rolled round his head.
And I in my pajamas with the cat on my lap,
I had just settled down for a quick little nap.
When outside the window I heard a great noise,
I sprang from my chair and jumped over some toys.
As quick as a flash to the window I flew,
I pulled up the shade and , OH, what a view.
The moon on the meadow cast a bright golden glow
And the wind blew the flowers to and then fro.
Then all of a sudden from out of nowhere,
Came some lively bunnies, hopping here, hopping there!
Leading the group with ears long and funny
Was a plump all-white rabbit...
That's right...the EASTER BUNNY!
The bunnies hopped past, one, two , three, four,
The rabbit called out and then there were more.
"Come Peter! Come, Flopsy! Come, Benny! Come, Joe!
Now hop along! Hop along! Hop along! GO!"
So up on each doorstep the bunnies did hop,
With baskets of eggs. (Let's hope they don't drop)!
Just at that moment, on the porch down below,
Came the stomping of feet 'Twas the rabbit I know!
As I stepped from my window I heard a loud sound.
It was Jon A's Camaro Poundin the Ground.
Through the Woods came the rabbit with a leap or two,
before he saw something fast and Blue.
He was furry and soft from his head to his feet.
Now he looks like hamburger meat.

That's great, Tom!
Mitch, I don't know where he got his parts but the car was built to replicate one of the original Gran Sports built in 1963 for Le Mans (only 5 or 6 were built I think):

It was absolutely beautiful. Looked like an original down to the last detail. This was the first time the car had been driven since it was built so the guy was taking it pretty easy--especially on the wet track. I lapped him twice the last session.

There is an old time racer at Motorsports Ranch who was building 63 split window, all aluminum, tube chassis cars.
What I noticed was the cooler at the base of the rear windshield.
Not sure if that was common practice or not ...

You forgot RAIN!!!

Yeah, it's a pretty intimidating track. There is a little runoff room in some places but not a whole lot. The best advice is to not run off!

After my crash a couple years back (which was actually right ahead of where the bunny video stops) one of the things that helped me get my confidence back was going to a different track--one with runoff room!

It is sort of an advantage though, having it as my home track. People don't just show up there and go fast the first time they see the place. It takes a long time to get it right. Very challenging.
Al, it's Pacific Raceways (formerly Seattle International Raceway) just southeast of Seattle.

ROFLMFAO!!!!!!! poor wittle bunny wabbit. Your car didnt even flintch when you went over it!
Yeah pacific raceways can be pretty damn spooky to someone new. The set of turn Jon was going into right before the vid cut off is the infamous 5a, 5b combo. Those set of turns ate rougly 1 million dollars worth of cars in 03 (2 ferraris made up most of that and 1 100K dollar porsche.). The guy that runs the lapping out there (Don Kitch) won the 02 24 rolex daytona in the protype division. He says it is one of the more technical tracks in the nation, due to the drastic elevation changes and no 1 turn is like the other.
Last year in a lapping day I tried to chase one of the instructors that was drving a brand new ZO6 through that set of corners and about stuffed my car nose first into a bunch of trees. I don't know how I got out of there without wadding up the car but after the next lap I had to go back to the paddock and empty the poop out of my fire suit and let the shakes wear off

. One minor screw up through those turns while your carrying some decent speed and your car is going home on a flat bed.
