Grrrrr
While re-doing the suspension on my Z I snapped off the top of my Koni hat due to the nut & threads being very rusted and seized.
There might be just enough to get a new nut on there. But in the event I can't, where can I order a new hat for my Koni Sports, for the front? Any idea how long it might actually take?

If they have any in stock in the US, you should get them quickly. If they have to order them from Europe, it could take 6 months or more. When I needed a replacement hat, it took them an entire competition season to get it. I had to buy a spare pair of shocks to borrow the hat from. When the hat finally came in, I was able to resell the shocks. At the time, I suggested to them that they might want to keep some in stock, but I don't know if they do.
Sam at stranoparts can order the hat for you, but there's nothing he or anyone else can do about Koni's pathetic turnaround time.
Good luck.

thanks for the info.
well, it looks like I *might* have just enough threads left for full engagement. Gotta stop and get a new nut but other than that I think I'm OK. It will be hell replacing it next time...
I tried removing the hat with my koni-nut wrench/tool. no go. wouldn't budge. rounded off the corners some, so its staying put for now

I busted one of those a few years ago and Koni's first response was that it might take months to get, but then they found one and sent it to me for free as well.
