SOLD
1999 Camaro Z28 Navy Blue Metallic exterior, gray interior Hardtop!!! Manual transmission 61xxx miles The car is set up for autocross in SCCA E street prepared (ESP) class. Here’s the list of mods/extras: Koni single adjustable front struts Koni single adjustable rear shocks (4th gen style, adjustment at top) Strano springs 35mm front sway bar Hellwig adjustable rear sway bar Strano offset front uca bushings Fays2 Watts link UMI adjustable torque arm 1LE bushings in rear control arms QTP long tube headers Custom 2.5” y-pipe with Flowmaster merge Custom 3” catback, single exit using Hooker max flow muffler Air filter lid Ported throttle body LS6 intake ASP underdrive pulley Katech belt tensioner TR55 plugs and MSD wires AIR, EGR, CAGS, rear O2 sensors deleted (HP Tuners used on ECM) Torque management disabled (again, HP Tuners) Poly motor mounts LS7 clutch w/LS2 flywheel B&M short shifter Optima red top battery CCW wheel spacers, 3/8” and 5/16” ARP wheel studs front and rear Eaton differential Hawk HPS pads on front, standard replacement in rear Chromoly two point subframe connectors Standard front and rear fender clearance mods done 17x11 50mm offset AFS ZR1 style wheels (autocross setup) Kumho V710 315/35 tires on above wheels The good: -See mod/extras list. Pretty well set up for autocrossing in ESP. It could be improved, but it’s most of the way there, and in the hands of a good driver should be very competitive. -Almost all aftermarket parts are nearly new -Low mileage -Overall in good condition -Interior is in very good shape -Clean vehicle history report -A/C, cruise, stereo, all that stuff works fine -Car weighs right at 3400 lbs. with 17x9.5/17x11 AFS wheels and street tires, about 1/4 tank of gas The bad: -It’s not a show car. There are a couple dings, a couple light scratches. A rock chip here and there. -Some paint has come off fender lips in the rear from rolling them. None is missing on the outer surface of the quarter panels though. If I get a chance I’ll try to do something with this, but to be honest it’s not really noticeable unless you’re looking for it. -Car had a dent above right rear fender from a very light parking lot bump, so that quarter had some body/paint work done. Nothing major. The price: It depends mostly on what wheels and tires you want. I can sell with just the autocross setup. Or I can sell it with a set of 17x11 and 17x9.5 AFS ZR1 style wheels with Sumitomo tires mounted. I also have a set of stock wheels with worn out tires sitting around if you want the cheapest option. Asking $9500 for the car with the autocross wheels and tires (no others). It's all negotiable though. This post has been edited by GaryK: Nov 11 2009, 10:56 AM |

I keep thinking about this car and if I could squeeze it in the budget, or sell my 3rd gen (and the spare shell), I'd probably have a trailer on the truck and be on the way to see you. I'd love to have another daily driveable 4th gen and I wanted that color when I bought my new black one in 2002. Looks like a nice toy.

Hey Gary, you might try posting at the Eastern F Body Forum. Lots of Maryland/Virginia people on there.

It's losing its parking spot and I'm trying to coordinate relocating it. I bought it thinking a friend was going to wind up building it instead of the slightly rusty shell he has, so I had no long term storage plans. Now I have a spare hardtop chassis. If you give me $7500 for it, I'll bring you a '92 to go with it and I'll buy this car. (Back to the top!!!) |

Car now has a watts link. I'm still developing the car, but will sell if a serious buyer comes along.

Brief watts link review? (otherwise free bump for a nicely prepped car) The watts link makes a noticeable difference. The lot I usually run on is very bumpy, and the car just feels more predictable in general to me. It definitely seems to transition better now, slaloms feel great. |

Thanks for trying to sell it for me even if it's for your own selfish purposes (haha). You can always trade some of those firearms for cash (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

You can always trade some of those firearms for cash (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I've been considering it. I've even posted a few things for sale. If I thought I were completely possible, I'd probably have been on the phone with you already. If it's still around in a bit, you never know what might happen. I'd REALLY love another ESP (mine was "mostly ESP") 4th gen right now. I get these whims on occasion. |

Another FTD with this car yesterday. Ok...it was a PCA autocross, but the car is working great. Somebody buy it before I change my mind.

Up again. Installed new Moog front LCA bushings. Now running on a nearly new set of Hoosier A6's. Last event the car was 4th out of 88 on pax index on a lot that isn't very friendly to Camaro's and with me driving like an idiot.
