Parting out the firebird, it largely just sits for the last 10+ years, can't justify it taking up space anymore and I've lost interest. If you're close to Orange county NY you can feel free to pick up the parts, most of this stuff only has about 3000ish street miles.

I need to extend some wiring.
In the past ive used resin core solder and heat shrink tubing with electrical tape and wiring loom over it. Is this the correct way? Will it change readings from sensors like the TPS ignition coil because of the rosin core solder?

I have an old Blackberry (the GF calls it a Crackberry). It's very useful and I only pay an extra $35 a month over my regular cell service for unlimited data. It's already paid for itself and I've only had it for a couple months. But I'm looking ahead to the Curve. I really miss the multimedia features of the previous phone and I would like to have them back. I can easily see how the BB could make a dent in this market.
I played with the Pearl this weekend and a Curve and the Pearl seemed to guess most of the words without a problem, but I really like the full QWERTY keyboard, just because I have full control. Do any of you have any experience with the Curve on Verizon? Do you have any comments on other carriers? Any comments in general?

BMR dbl adjustable steel panhard bar. Poly ends still fine. The finish is a little beat up but some rattle can will clean it right up. Had it on my car for a couple years and switched to a rod ended aluminum bar. $60 + shipping (IMG:http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x210/v7guy/P1300062.jpg) DMS lowering springs for the rear I do not have the fronts The finish is beat up but they are fine otherwise and did the job well. the typical 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 inch drop but with a slightly stiffer spring rate as I recall. They rode nicely and looked good, I replaced them with a coilover setup. $50 + shipping I also have an some stock LT1 valve covers with seals/oil cap, a rear cloth graphite seat, alternator stabilizer bar, an AC compressor of unknown condition and a few other items that I'll add later. If you want any of these make me an offer. They're just cluttering the garage.

The rear tires (Sumitomo HTRZ) are brand new, and only have about 1500 miles on them (A drive from MO to NY), all the miles are highway. The fronts will probably need replaced. It's 17 x 11 for the rear and 17x 9.5 for the front. tire and wheel is 52# according to my bathroom scale for the 17x11 backspace 8 3/4 for the rear and 7 7/8 for the front. That's from the mounting face of the hub to the edge of the rim. So about 43mm front and 57mm rear. They have some general nicks from rocks and one lip is slightly bent from a careless tire installer. It still seals just fine. I'm the only one that notices. With a bit of work these wheels look very nice. Maybe they can be some cheap track wheels for someone. I really need these gone. $650 + shipped to the lower 48 for the tires and wheels. OBO |
