I have one of the new style MSD shift lights (they are now a little wider on the sides, the original design was more round). I mounted it in my '92 Z28 track car and the car only ran to get on and off a trailer a couple times. It's virtually unused, but I did tweek the mounting plate to fit the roll cage tube (it may need straightened or touched up with some black paint). I also have a package of MSD rev limiter/shift light chips (odd numbers, 6100-6900 rpm).
Pics on request. $80 plus freight OBO trackbird (at) gmail dot com |

Is this able to be connected to the stock tach, or does it have to be connected to an aftermarket unit?

Is this able to be connected to the stock tach, or does it have to be connected to an aftermarket unit? It doesn't require a tach. It is self contained. Hot, ground and a tach input. See attached pics.
