Our illustrious organizer just started announcing that registration is open!

But more seriously, this is your friendly neighborhood event organizer calling in to let you know that the NFME 2008 Event website is up and running. Try this: http://www.fbody-event.org/ I am happy to report that the registration section is open for all prior event attendees and newcomers with Fbody cars . If you would like to bring a non-Fbody, we are allowing this for previous year attendees, but you will need to obtain an exemption code to use on the website to allow your registration. To get the code, contact me. There might still be a bug or two in the registration engine so be cool about it. Happy motoring. Jim D says he might get the NEW Camaro to show up. Bock (69 is still my favorite.....uh, model year of course) Folken

I'm already registered and Paid, now I need to start getting my car back together!

James beat me to the punch...but thats good!

Just a heads up for all you Road Racers:

1. The Road Course School portion of the event is essentially an HPDE. If you are a licensed Road Racer or TimeTrialer with a recognized (SCCA, NASA, AV8, or similar) national or regional sanctioning body, I'm pretty sure you will not be required to be signed off by an instructor. Also, Andris will be looking for some help with regard to instructors...hint hint.

2. We welcome newcomers and those who are accomplished Autocrossers that want to see what its like to go faster in turns but they will be required to start out as Novices and be signed off for participation in the TT event. We are planning a time trial style section within the event....if we get enough signups....hint hint.

3. There is a deadline for registrations after which we will open registrations to non Fbody cars. My sincere preference is to see all Fbodies so register early.

What Bock said! I'm registered too, and missing my wife's birthday (again!) for this event. It's worth it! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My tow is only going to be in the mid 600 mile range each way. I guess I've got it easy. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)

Now I just have to start turning over seat cushions for entry fees and gas money.....

There is generally a really good caravan coming through Ohio/Ky which picks me up in Louisville. Makes the drive so much more fun. Between the stares the long line of trucks/trailers and F-bodies get and the great CB chatter the time just slips away!

Don't forget drafting. My towing at 75 mileage goes from 10 to 14 if I can stay in the draft. Best bet is to find someone with an enclosed trailer. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The east cost caravan usually starts w/ me & Ettore in CT Tuesday afternoon, picks up a few folks in NJ/MD, and we meet up with the Mid Atlantic guys in the SW corner of VA. Stay over Tuesday night, and then drive across TN Wednesday, catching up with the NC/SC/GA guys. It's usually 20-30 strong by the time we roll into the hotel parking lot.

Uh, I only get about 8-9 towing an open trailer at 75-ish and about 8 when towing a 24 foot enclosed at 65. Drafting sounds like a plan.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)

This is a BUMP, and an announcement that registration is now open to all makes (not just Fbodies).

If you have friends, or perhaps another car you'd like to bring...then this is your chance to come run with us and bring that other car type.

I hate to ask this.......

How would one go about dropping out and getting a refund? I know this won't make me very popular, but it's looking more and more like there is no way I can get there with the happenings in my life/business/family.

Not completely decided yet, but things aren't looking good for my making it.

Sorry to hear Sam. Those of us on FRRAX are aware of some of the challenges you have so don't feel bad about it.

The website has a "contact us" button that when utilized sends a message to the Admin team. State your problem and that you need to cancel. A full refund is available up until May 1st if you want to wait and see what develops.

Last Call. 5 days left.

Online registration is done, but if you still wanna come run with us, here is how to get in under the radar.

Show up at the event hotel Wednesday eve (Wednesday ONLY) between 6 pm and 9pm with cash in your hand. Hand it to the registration person and say the following:

I'm running in the road course event (or autocross event, or drag event , or all three). What do you mean my name is not there.....Look again.

See I knew you could find it!
