For sale on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=260697013934 #27 of 29 of the LT4 Firehawks built, about 86,000 miles on it now. Absolute blast to drive, with right at 330RWHP. Arguably the most collectible/rare of the 4th gen factory order f-bodies. If you aren't familiar with the LT4 Firehawks: One of the rarest of the 4th gen F-bodies produced. At the end of 1996, SLP bought about 200 of the LT4s from the 96 Corvette Grand Sport and Collector's Edition Corvettes. The plan was to make 100 each of a special edition LT4 Firehawk and LT4 Camaro SS. They made 109 of the LT4 Camaro SS, but only ended up making 29 of the LT4 Firehawk. To make these cars, the balanced and blueprinted the engines to assure exact tolerances, and then added every SLP option that was available from SLP for that year, bringing the total price for the LT4 option package to over $17,000, which added to the base Formula brought the total new price to over $40,000. This is #27 of 29 of the LT4 Firehawks, with about 86,000 miles on it now. It is an absolute blast to drive, rated from SLP with 330HP, this example has right at 400HP due to a tuned ECM and long tube headers. The car is in great shape with a few minor issues, with the only real issue being a crack in the dash mat on the passenger side (cost to replace should be right at $200). The car has been garaged it's entire life, but there are the typical scuffs/scrapes that would be associated with a 13 year old car. If you've ever been interested in a "modern musclecar" you must see this one, as that is exactly what it is. #27 of 29 of the LT4 Firehawks built, about 86,000 miles on it now. Car is in great shape with a few minor issues: Dash mat is cracked on passenger side (easy fix, but I just haven't had time to pick up a replacement, they are about $200). There are a couple of scratches on the passenger side door and front fender (maybe 2-4" long) from debris in a hail storm. There are a couple of small dents in the rear quaters from the hail storm (I had all but 2 or 3 fixed with paintless dent repair). Mods: Freshly tinted windows Pacesetter long tube headers Hooker 3" catback 52mm throttle body Clariion stereo with Sirius receiver, amp, 10" Kicker sub in rear cubby Global West upper front A arms 1LE lower front control arms C5 front brakes 2 point STB Adjustable rod end panhard rod TurnOne power steering pump Recaro Orthoped front seats (leather, died to match interior) 17x9.5" front and 18x10.5" rear OE Wheels C5 5-spoke "Deep Dish" Aluminum rod end adjustable rear LCAs (not currently on car) 3 point bolt on SFCs (not currently on car) Extra set of 17" Firehawk wheels (painted black, need to be refinished, but are in good shape if someone wants a stock look, would just need chrome/paint) Maintenance/Repairs: Driver's power window motor Radiator replaced about 5K miles ago Clutch & Flywheel replaced about 20K miles back (with LT4 clutch and SLP Billet Flywheel (stock for LT4 SLP cars) Full pics here (IMG:http://www.lt1.net/images/Firehawk/Hawk082810_08.jpg)

Moving to Dallas in the next couple of months, how many of you live in the area? Would be great to meat up with fellow members to get to know some folks in Dallas.

Looking to experiment a little bit, anybody got some stock rear springs for a 4th gen that they don't need anymore?

I've got a company "party" trip to Vegas next month, and the wife and I were thinking about renting a sports/exotic and going for a nice day drive around the Vegas area. Anybody got any suggestions on where to drive, I'm guessing around Lake Mead, anywhere else, or any specific roads?
Also, opinions on what car to play with: Lotus Elise: $188/day Porsche Cayman S: $295/day C6 Vert: $188/day C6 Z06: $445/day Viper GTS: $379/day Ferrari 348 Spider: $550/day I'm seriously thinking the Elise, Viper GTS, or Cayman S. I've owned a C5 Z06, so the Vettes aren't really that big of a draw for me, and while I'd love to drive a Ferrari, the 348 is a little old and $550/day is kind of expensive (and the other Ferraris and Lambos are just insanely outrageous ($1,000+/day)). We might even do two cars so we could trade off during the day, so maybe the Elise and the Viper? We figure we'd get a lot more fun out of something like this than blowing the same amount of money in a Casino. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And it will even holds the kids (as long as they're short).
