I finally got out to the garage to inventory the collection of assorted sway bars I've had hanging on the wall. I don't know what prices run, and I haven't looked. If I'm crazy, let me know and I'll work out a deal that's not crazy. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (None of these bars have end links, when I say bushings I mean the 35mm, 21mm, etc bushings that fit the actual bar).

35mm hollow bar (appears to be a Strano bar) with energy suspension bushings and the aftermarket frame clamps. Excellent condition.

$150 $140 $125 $115 plus freight (SOLD)

32mm factory GM front 4th gen bar (SS bar). PN 26032907 on the tag. Includes stock bushings and the metal clamps to install it.

$70 $65 plus freight

19mm factory GM rear bar with rubber bushings (no clamps or hardware).

$20 plus freight

21mm gm bar (no tag, but it appears to be a factory bar and I've seen a bunch of them) with Energy Suspension bushings and clamps.

$89 plus freight (SOLD)

21mm gm (again no tag, but it appears to be a factory bar) rear bar with Energy Suspension bushings and mounts that's covered in a layer of undercoating (beats me?). Includes Energy Suspension bushings and clamps.

$79 plus freight (SOLD)

$75 plus freight

19mm factory GM rear bar with rubber bushings (no clamps or hardware).

If the 21mm bars are still avail, I'll take either one, but prefer the one without undercoating. PM sent

Steve91t is first for the 32mm bar. Dalgozine is first for a 21mm bar.

That leaves a 21, the 35 hollow and the 19mm.

Since you've only been after me for 6 months to measure them. You were first on the list.

What is the stock Z28 front bar size?

SS and Ws6 cars the LS powered got a 32 front bar. The "1LE" front bar.

I have 32-19 bars on mine and like them, but I don't know any different as this is the first setup I have driven.

'Bird says I need the 35/21 setup, but will wait and slot the front arms to get more camber. One thing at a time.

And LS powered Z28's got 30mm bars (just so nobody reads that and gets confused).

With the 35mm front bar, you'll need less camber. You may even get away without the slotting (though you'll probably still want a little more than you have now, you'll won't need the extra as bad as you do now). That's why I suggested doing the bars first. See how you like the car and then decide if you want to do the slotting or not. Sway bar stiffness increases as a function of "diameter to the 4th power" so even a small increase in diameter can be a large increase in stiffness. When you go "eh, it's only 2mm thicker", it could be 20% stiffer or more (I don't have the math handy and I don't remember off the top of my head these days).

I did, didn't my reply come back? And no sweat if you don't need the bar it's not a problem at all. Glad we caught it now.
