Hey people,
Looking for another set of wheels for the car and figured I would see if anyone has some used equipment they would like to get rid of. I need 4 wheels of course in a 17" or 18" diameter and 10.5" or 11" wide. If you can point me in a good direction that would help as well. BTW: I am just looking for something cheaper than another set of CCW's...but might go that route anyway. Thanks people, John Crouse crouseee@hotmail.com

Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone out in the solo/racing community is looking to unload a reliable tow rig and also searching for an open trailer to haul my ESP camaro around. Specifically I am looking in the 3/4-ton truck and above range, gas engine preferred (but nothing wrong with diesel) and 4x4. I am located in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and would prefer something that I could go and see vs a flight out to Califorina but I will be traveling to the Evansville, Indiana area for work and back to Ft Bragg, NC for the holidays. So tell me what you got either by PM or crouseee(a)hotmail.com Thank you, John Crouse

OK people...I know someone has had this issue.
I installed a Repair Right Rear wheel bearing in order to get the car home from SCCA solo nationals...I now have a new axle, new bearing and wheel seal ready to go in the car but I cant get the old one out. Slide hammer + bearing puller = broken bearing puller at the moment. Other than taking apart the other side and removing the diff in order to run a big freakin piece of pipe in and beating it out the other side...any suggestions??? I might try to heat up the axle tube with a torch to loosen things up....but then i got to get another bearing puller. Any ideas?

Hi all,
Basically I am in a bind. I pulled into Heartland Park Topeka for the SCCA nationals and well...my Torsen T2R decided to eat itself after my rear axle decided to eat itself. Sam Strano had a spare Auburn back home that he had shipped out here to replace mine but in the haste to get it out the C-clip pin was left behind...the part that keeps the axles far enough away to keep the C-clips from falling out. I was wondering if anyone had an OEM diff in the area that is not in use so I could use it...or if someone has one out and can give me some specs as to have a new one machined tomorrow so I can get the car back together...race Tuesday, Wednesday..and drive the car home 600 miles. Also special thanks go out to Sam, Mike "Jr" Johnson, Mark Madarash and the rest of the Evolution School team for allowing me to use the garage..and putting up with me of course. Any help is appreciated...I will be calling all the local yards in the morning to try and find spare diffs and axles and such. |
