So I'm actually going to be living in the states, so I booked my plane ticket to see this:

Who else is planning on going?

I know they are goig to race nearby me in Austin next year, but I have my doubts about the circuit...

I heard about this the other day, I'd love to see it. Doubt I'll go though. Should be interesting, Lewis is amazing, but compared to a f1 car, a Sprint Cup car is like driving a tank! I think he can pull it off though! The most interesting part is figuring out how to get Tony to fit in a f1 car, haha!

I stayed up a bit and watched this last night. I was pleasantly surprised with Tony Stewart, his pace was a lot better in the F1 car than I thought it would be. I can only imagine what a high downforce car is like to drive so I'm suprised he did as well as he did. He seemed to have more trouble with his car in the rain than he did with the mclaren as it was drying up.

I didn't see Lewis having any trouble with the stock car and it sort of turned out that way. He was definitely overdriving the car somewhat on corner exit, but it looked like he was having fun. Maybe it was just me, but Lewis seemed a little upset that Stewart was beating his times as the track dried up.

So it wasn't quite the comparison the fanboi's were wanting since both beat each others time as the track dried, but it was still amusing television. Hopefully the air time helps sell some F1 seats in Austin next year.

Lewis must really be glad to get back in his F1 car after driving that left turner!

I made it up there. I didn't realize Lewis took an "extra" lap until watching on TV later. I think he liked the track. I'll have to post up some pictures of Lewis' burnout when I download the pictures (maybe tomorrow if I'm not too busy getting settled into my itty bitty apartment.

He actually seemed to have a great time in the stock car. He was having a blast drifting it around a few of the turns and doing the burnout.

I expected Tony to drive the car well... he has a lot of open wheel experience and can drive the crap out of anything.
