Pics link: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/657810/10 I know PA Racing doesn't market their parts towards road racing, but I think it's scary that the A-arm failed in a non-welded area under "normal" driving conditions in just 10k miles. Why can't we get someone to design some *GOOD* aftermarket front suspension for a 3rd gen! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |

Those look weak in the pictures. They look like toothpicks holding the front of the car together. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/nutkick.gif)

It's funny how they say Spohn's design is a lot better. Looking at the pictures I don't see how the Spohn's are that much stronger than the PA's.

QUOTE (robz71lm7 @ Jun 2 2005, 09:11) It's funny how they say Spohn's design is a lot better. Looking at the pictures I don't see how the Spohn's are that much stronger than the PA's. The Spohn A-arms look much stronger then the PA racing ones and seem to be a better design. The main difference is that it's a true A-arm rather then a V-arm. The PA racing piece is missing the cross of the A, it only appears to have it because of the "spring box" which also isn't very substancial on the PA unit compared to the Spohn. In addition to that, the Spohns are made with 1.25" x .120" DOM, while the PA racing pieces are made with 1.00" x .120" DOM. You don't save much weigh with the Spohn spring box units, but I'd at least be comfortable with the idea of them at least holding up to street driving. I just wish someone would get around to testing the Spohn pieces so I could know whether I should put them on the wish list or not.
