Back to the bird after a year in a C6

I stored my Formula last spring after getting a low mile C6-GS and finally dug it out this past weekend for a family member to use. It started immediately, ran perfectly, and had only left a few drops of oil on the floor!

I wasn't sure what it would feel like after spending so much time driving/racing the vette but it was just like sleeping in my own bed after a long trip away from home. Despite being down 175 hp, the old LT1 feels brutal compared to the LS3, probably because the vette is an auto and the Formula an M6. The steering felt so heavy, as did the clutch and shifter. Weird, since I never had that impression when I drove it regularly. It felt like a proper muscle car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Anyone offloading their 17 x 11's?

I'm looking for a set of 17x11's to mount 315/35 race tires - they don't have to be pretty. From the sticky, it seems like +36 would be preferable over +50 offset since I have a firebird, but I'm not opposed to using a spacer/hammer to make them clear.

Anyone have a beat up set of C4 ZR1 replicas hanging around that they're interested in selling (and willing to ship to Canada on my dime)?

In car vid from a lapping event

I grabbed some video of a lapping event I did this weekend so figured I'd share. I've autocrossed plenty but this was only my second time on a track and it's easy to tell! The car is: basically stock LT1 (130K miles), Strano sways, Koni SA's and BMR springs, LS front brakes + EBC Yellowstuff pads on 275/40-17 NT05's (that were below the wear indicators).
