Besides the owner's manual, anyone have or have a link to a good maintenance schedule (this is for his Silverado that sees some plow duties for his loooong driveway in the U.P., not a raced car). My Dad asked me, which is weird, because I use the one he gave me years ago.

I use my truck as a primary driver and tow vehicle. I stick with what the owners manual says except:

Trans flush: 3 years or 36k
PS fuild: 5 years or 50k
Diff fluid: 100k
brake fluid: Every time I change the pads/ shoes

Seems like no one ever changes the PS fluid or trans fluid enough for trucks that actaully do work.

My GM manual says to never change it, just top it off.

Yea, the GM maintenance intervals are surprisingly long!

I was actually wondering the same thing about my wife's Avalanche... Its doesn't do much real "work" though.. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I was thinking about the 50k/5 year mark to get all the fluids and oils changed out, new brake pads, and check the belts and hoses and probably get new tires by then too, if not a little sooner.. ?
