I am selling my beloved, but high miles (173K), 1SC stripped hard top manual after almost 17 years of ownership. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_cry.gif)
This car runs (and runs quite well despite the problems I will list below), has NO SES lights, or pending or set DTCs, and all readiness monitors are green. It just today passed Pa. safety and emissions inspection with a 9/17 sticker issued. It is an all black car with cloth interior, and NO DASH cracks whatsoever, and the body is in good shape with only minor dings. What's done to it; Koni front DOUBLE adjustables with Ground Control coil over conversions/Eibach 600# springs/Koni SINGLE adjustable rears with Strano/Vogtland 150# springs UMI DOUBLE adjustable/Roto-Jointed; rear lower control arms & panhard bar Strano 35mm hallow front bar with billet alloy UMI brackets/1LE 21mm rear bar with ES ploly bushings (factory sway bars are included as well) Random Tech adjustable torque arm, and not yet installed Prothane motor mounts Pro 5.0 shifter with delrin round shift knob AND Hurst leather and factory knobs included LS7 clutch with Ram aluminum flywheel SLP air lid with various multiple panel filters included/Moroso Ultra 40 spark plug wires/Moroso air-oil separator/Katech ported throttle body/new GM rockers/new Trick Flow (Trend) pushrods Diablo Sport Predator hand held tuner included LT1 radiator (Vista Pro) Turn One power steering pump with a stacked plate cooler in the driver's side fog light opening AAM 3.73 ring and pinion with an Eaton Posi in the 10 bolt AC (to the firewall) and the whole back seat are deleted, but I have all of the parts included It has a Recaro SPD (Speed) seat in the driver's position, but it is NOT in great shape (I have the factory seat, included) Sparco mod 383 suede steering wheel on a Momo 2401 adapter (I have the factory wheel and air bag, included) Alpine CD/MP3/iPod wired/etc. head unit with removable face plate & holder/Alpine light weight & compact 45 watt per channel, 4 channel amp under the dash (it's about the size of two cigarette boxes end to end, and weighs ~12 ounces), Focal 6.5" co-axial front speakers, Alpine 6.5" co-axial sail panel speakers (nothing in the hatch area) Die Hard Platinum/Odyssey group 78 AGM battery (2 years old) Now for the 'bad'; It needs at least new lifters and a camshaft, but more likely at this mileage, a full rebuild, or a new/crate engine replacement, as yes, it IS 'clacking' fairly loudly right now. It also needs a new power steering rack, as it is leaking, but this is simple once the engine is down. The gear box, despite the miles is in very good shape, and it does not grind into any gear, nor jump out of gear. I am looking for ~$3000 with two sets of wheels (both 16 x 8, one with new BFG Super Sport all seasons, the other with ~5K mile BFG Comp 2s) I am looking to sell this locally, and if I have to take much less than the above, I will part it out and get twice that amount. I'm hoping that someone wants a light start for a road course, or CMC/AI/AIX car, so that i don't have to do this. Thanks, Dave H. This post has been edited by dailydriver: Jul 6 2016, 06:32 PM |

SOLD on 7/18/16.
I will probably not be on here too much in the future, at least not until I have another LSx powered car, IF that ever happens before I am no longer on this Earth. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) This post has been edited by dailydriver: Jul 20 2016, 06:16 PM |

I just reread this and when I saw the price (which I seemed to have skipped since I just bought a car) I thought "crap, I should buy that". Luckily somebody saved me from myself. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
Congrats on the sale. I hate to see you leave us after all these years. Where did it go? Did Steve grab it? |

Sorry you had to sell it, glad it went to another member that's going to keep it on the road and put it to good use. You could tell that you really loved that car.

That was the original plan. Actually I was going to jump on a plane and fly to philly since I get free travel flying stanby, rent a truck and trailer from uhaul and drive it back. But they wanted over $800! That was before gas! A round trip uhaul trailer was $120, so I was going to just drive my truck. But when I figured 1100 miles , 9 hr each way, a hotel and food, it was going to be about $400. Shipping the car cost $550, but then they freaked out when they saw everything Dave packed in the car and charged me an extra $50. They couldn't understand that the car is still lighter than most Camaro's, but whatever.
I'll post a couple of videos and pics that I took last night. |

So I think the bottom end is healthy. https://youtu.be/ZGR1eOEOdPE This post has been edited by Steve91T: Jul 21 2016, 01:57 PM |

You know, they say the first step is admitting that you have a problem. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
(Luckily you're the one with two of these cars right now and not me....though I'm really wishing I had a hardtop. Needing a roll bar in a convertible is keeping me away from some potential fun). |

Then this one became available and I jumped on it. It was funny after spending all day on the phone getting shipping figured out, I jumped in my Camaro to go for a drive and that's when she didn't start. She must be jealous. Ha. I'm going to unpack the car and clean the road grime off it and take more pictures. I'll start a new thread. Thanks again Dave. |

I have poly/roto joint LCA's to install (wife friendly, and I thought I'd try something new-to-me in the name of science) and I'm waiting on the last few bits of front suspension to arrive so I can tear the front end down and replace everything (and maybe fresh paint) so I can go have the alignment redone. |

Sorry to see you go Dave, but glad you were able to pass her along to another F-body connoisseur!
