I am finally getting the final list of things that need to go out there....
$3000 Speedway Engineering Full Floater Ford 9". Top of the line everything. Mark Williams Aluminum center section, Wilwood 4 piston calipers, Mod Lite housing and Grand National hubs outer setup. The housing is a bit bent and some of the F Body mounts are damaged, but the housing could be straightened and the brackets fixed. Or, buy a new housing cheap and have your own new brackets put on. This setup cost over $6000 a year ago. I will make sure the Mark Williams center section is still in perfect condition before the sale from my gear shop. Will also check the axles/other parts. The center section alone was $3500.....get the housing/brakes/axles/hubs/etc for free and rebuild. $1999 Tex 101A Dog Ring race box. This transmission KILLS ME to sell. Thing was absolutely the most fun to drive that I have EVER SEEN! It is absolutely amazing up a straight....lift and shift absolutely NO HESITATION in pulling up the straight. These go all day long used on eBay for about $1999 as I can see....again, I will have my gear shop ensure it is perfect before the sale. I paid about $2800 for it a year ago. SOLD Entire front suspension set up from my car ( less the upper and lower control arms and shocks). Porsche 996 Brake calipers and rotors, Custom cooling ducts into center of rotor, decent used pads. Spare used hubs and spare used rotors. This is the exact setup that was on my car until the Cortex/Stoptech upgrade a few months ago. $500 My old LT1 383 short block. Has JE gas ported pistons and forged crank and rods. It was good with my AI heads for about 468 RWHP. It was pulled at the end and needs a FULL refresh. All crated and ready to go. S&S...the original builder of the motor will refresh for $600 if any want to make SURE it is good to go on arrival....just an option $500 VFN rear hatch and Lexan. The hatch survived in one piece. The lexan has a bit of a scratch in the non viewing area.....the black surround. It should be able to be buffed out. The hatch has 3 dZus button holes that were ripped out in the crash...simple fiberglass repair....and two cutouts in the rear corners...again, simple repair. Rear straps are in place and included. Get the hatch and Lexan for what one or the other would cost you. $350 One set of silver ZR1 Corvette wheels. OE Concepts 50mm offset. Has set of Goodyear RS tires that have 4 heat cycles on them mounted. $250 One set of BRAND NEW Raybestos ST43 Front Brake Pads for the Porsche 996 brake calipers. I loved the Raybestos for feel, lack of fade and ease on rotors. These are a step up from the Pagid Blacks I was using ($399 new) $75 Two individual silver ZR1 Corvette wheels. OE Concepts 50mm offset. Tires are OLD, and can be dismounted before shipping. All prices are negotiable and BO. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. Probably will be more as I clean out the trailer and shop. Thanks... This post has been edited by rmackintosh: Nov 1 2011, 04:25 PM |

Are the wheels 9.5's or 11's?
What makes the short block need a "Full refresh"? How old is it? |

pics of wheels? I have a pic in the first thread: Mackintosh Motorsports Great Sellathon Part Uno I can get more if you like. They are used race wheels and have served me well for a while now. I have 6 17x11s and 2 17x9.5s 4 of the 17x11s have pretty fresh Goodyear RS rubber on them...4 heat cycles I believe. The others were trailer tires. Thanks. |

It was just going through a lot of oil at the time. I sold the Ai heads off it last year and they needed a bit of work, so that may have been some of it. The pistons and bores still look good as does the bottom end with the pan off. I can get pics if you like. Thanks. |

Randy, I'm interested in the vfn hatch w/ lexan... do you have any pics? Here is the hatch....not bad really....an hour or two of repair and you are golden. Some scratches that should mostly buff out...none in the vision field: (IMG:http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6028/5951106381_c45a1257a2.jpg) The dZus buttons all popped out...fill in with some fiberglass: (IMG:http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6125/5951662324_422058572a.jpg) There are small cutouts for my wing mounts..also simple fix with fiberglass: (IMG:http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6008/5951662422_b12d0c4b74.jpg) One small 5" crack on the rear..easy fix: (IMG:http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6145/5951662544_d964edfc64.jpg) Let me know....make me an offer! Thanks. |

Yeah, shipping can be a problem. I think I was in shock when VFN shipped it to me originally. However I just just Forward Air to ship some wheels to Florida on a pallet. MUCH Heavier and bulky....could just strap this to a pallet, and the tires were around $170 to ship....

I was actually talking about the 383 and the set of wheels. the vfn is further down the road Ah, in that case...same applies. The motor is already on a pallet and the wheels can be. Forward Air was surprisingly cheap. I have shipped much smaller parts that were heavy but went UPS that totaled more. |

I have discussed the motor with my old engine builder S&S Automotive, builders of some of the best Chevy drag race motors around and NHRA champs in the recent past, the motor and they can refresh the short block for around $600 baring something they may find during the process. That might make the engine more palatable to some....
I also plan on taking the Penske shocks to the shock guys tomorrow and having them give me an estimate to completely refresh the shocks. So, we could work out a total price for the shocks that INCLUDED a rebuild to your specs presumably. The transmssion is being refreshed right now, but I think I have it sold. If someone wanted the rear, in whole or in part, I can take it to the gear shop first as well Keep you posted.... |

I've been wondering if a jerico/Tex would mate up to the C5 / C6 rear axle with some adapter plates... Ditch the tail housing etc. Some of the vette pinions had a 32 tooth spline... If this gets you excited Randy I can look into it some more. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) It would take a custom output shaft, too - the C5 T56 output shaft extends thru the diff case, 8-10" as I recall, to engage the pinion. I have a spare diff from my 99 FRC downstairs, if you need some dimensions. |
