Who's going? I'll be crewing Saturday for Sam Stowell's CMC Firebird. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Rain in forecast all weekend, should be exciting!

I'll be working tech starting Thurs afternoon, and will be a hot pit marshall during the race. I was there racing 2 cars.... both failed to finish... The Ford blew it's engine up just before sunrise, and I was the one who was wrecked exiting T1....... Car 22 hit my left rear tire causing me to spin 90 degrees to the course, but unfortunately coming to a stop in the racing line, exit of T1, the car had stalled and I tried to restart, and a couple of cars got by, but alas not the 3rd car... He walloped me at about 100mph (T-bone left side of car). Pics can be seen here http://www.flickr.com/photos/peakskir/sets...427239641/show/ |

I arrived on Sun morning to watch the finish, saw that car in the pits and was wondering how that impact happened. I had a friend crewing for the green Factory Five Cobra pitted just a few spaces down, and we were both thinking how lucky the driver was that the Integra was right-hand drive vs. lhd. Sounds like your ok, but I bet that was a whale of a pop you received. |

Yes ouch! My friend Sam Stowell knows the guy Tim who was driving the other car. It was pretty smashed in the front. Tim was pretty sore, I'll bet today was not fun for you either.

Julie, Actually I am doing pretty darn good all things considered. The soreness peaked on monday. Today I am pretty much soreness free... of course thats discounting the kidney stone I just had removed today..... |
