Hey guys joined the sight via suggestion from a fellow f-body owner at a autox event. You can say my car is a jack of all trades and master at none (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)
It's a 00' camaro a4 with ls-6 intake, headers and duals, bilsteins w/ strano's, 3pt sfc's, and a 32mm front sway bar. I haven't auto crossed much and I am looking to change that this year and work on my driver mod.

Auto's can be a bit of a challenge, but we have more than a few here (and a few cars that have been swapped). The rest of it can be fine tuned, and we're glad to help!

Welcome aboard!

So, who here has an auto? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

My 700r4 is still going strong despite a lot of abuse. I'm sure it will kick the bucket once I start doing HPDEs...

Welcome and prepare to be overwhelmed by the number of knowledgeable people here. This site is awesome. I wish I would have been more active when I first joined rather then lurking.

Thanks for the welcome guys, the car was initially bought for the quarter mile and ever since my first auto x run I have sort have converted. I know the 4l60e isn't exactly bullet proof(afraid to take it road racing) so I am taking a rear end/transmission class to be slightly competent when the tranny blows or justify a swap to a t56 (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My '97 TA has an auto. It has a shift kit, a Trans-Go if I remember right, set on the mildest setting. You don't want any hard shifts upsetting your car if you like the curvy stuff! I love doing autox with the auto, hated doing HPDEs wth it. Autos are just plain scary on RR tracks when the torque converter disengages and the car "drifts" without the gearing to slow it down!

Welcome C5z28!

Welcome C5z28!

I did a few mountain drives and it only took me one turn and a down shift from 3rd to 1st in the middle of the turn to make me realize I wasn't fully in control lol.
Thanks for the welcome
