Took this short vid (before the GoPro decided to turn off (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) during the practice session at Eagles Canyon.
CMC 3rd gen on Toyo R888's. Figure you guys (and gals) would get a kick out of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g70n7IOcQpA |

Tire deflection is almost always overlooked in the amateur ranks.
This is one from the Pro ranks (SWC). The car is travelling from right to left at Road Atlanta. We were testing the 'Blade' end-link setup. If you know this track, check out the deflection at turn 7 (:52), and then the compression of the front suspension at the end of the long straight just before turn 10a. (1:18). VIDEO LINK and this is one from an A/Sedan (92 Camaro Z/28) VIDEO LINK This post has been edited by PF Flyer: Nov 4 2009, 06:44 PM |

great video. one of the SCCA T-1 guys made a similiar video a year or 2 ago, but it was by accident, he was trying to show how crappy our stock bushings were and we should be able to run poly bushings, turns out we have a lot of tire deflection on the Hoosiers we run...
What tire pressure was this recorded at? just tried looking for the other video, can't find it |
