Hi all,
Basically I am in a bind. I pulled into Heartland Park Topeka for the SCCA nationals and well...my Torsen T2R decided to eat itself after my rear axle decided to eat itself. Sam Strano had a spare Auburn back home that he had shipped out here to replace mine but in the haste to get it out the C-clip pin was left behind...the part that keeps the axles far enough away to keep the C-clips from falling out. I was wondering if anyone had an OEM diff in the area that is not in use so I could use it...or if someone has one out and can give me some specs as to have a new one machined tomorrow so I can get the car back together...race Tuesday, Wednesday..and drive the car home 600 miles. Also special thanks go out to Sam, Mike "Jr" Johnson, Mark Madarash and the rest of the Evolution School team for allowing me to use the garage..and putting up with me of course. Any help is appreciated...I will be calling all the local yards in the morning to try and find spare diffs and axles and such. |

Dang, that rear axle is really putting you through the wringer.
I'm not in Topeka and don't have an Auburn. Just to be clear though, you're NOT looking for the C-clip itself, right? I think I do have a new stock C-clip around here somewhere. Is the part you need sort of like the paddle/block that is installed last in a Torsen? |

It sounds like he needs the cross pin that keeps the axles away from each other, thus holding the c-clips in. But I'm not sure how one of those would get destroyed.

c-clip, diff pin (which a torsen doesn't have, it has a block), or the diff pin bolt (5/16" head, used to pin the pin in)?
I can't help you out with parts, just trying to make it clear for anyone else trying to help you. A GM dealership should have the bolt in stock. |

Sorry, The auburn cross pin was missing and thats the part im trying to track down. C-clips and diff pin bolt are both still good. If I could make the block fit in the auburn pin hole I would =P I am calling the dealerships in the morning...if they don't have it then FRRAX...your my only hope!!!
