Looking for input. We had a suggestion for it. I built it as an experiment. If it doesn't fly, I'll gladly "put it all back". I didn't want to split traffic down too far, but we seem to be having lots of rules questions lately.
Vote away!!! Thoughts, input? |

I think we should wait a while and see what happens before we vote on it. Just my $.02. Overall I think it's a good idea though.

QUOTE (robz71lm7 @ Nov 10 2004, 06:04 PM) I think we should wait a while and see what happens before we vote on it. Just my $.02. Overall I think it's a good idea though. It was an experiment. It was suggested to me (and I had considered it), and then it was suggested to kill it. We could rename "road racing" to HPDE/Open Track and leave it for rules and such. I was also hoping to attract the F-body guys who race in sanctioned events (those classes) to the site if the forum were to take off. But, if it does not go well, I'll move it all back and kill it. We'll see how it goes and if it's not looking good in the next week or 3, I'll put it back. Vote away! |

I'd prefer to not split the traffic personally. I like the split between RR and AX, since they are very different...but a most of what aplies to RR applies to OT and HPDE. Plus, a lot of HPDE and OT people want to be racers, or versa vice, but can't due to schedules/budgets/crack addiction. I would think a lot of the questions etc would end up in both forums.
Maybe instead we change the description of the RR forum to state something like "HPDE/OT/AI/CMC/ITE...rules, car setup, technique...everything closed course!"? |

I always thought that the Road Racing forum encompassed all of these classes just fine. I think that it would take a lot more traffic before any breakout would really be necessitated.
Then again, I don't even drive an F-body, so what do I know. Although the missus keeps threatening to throw me out on the track in that overpowered, overweight, poorly balanced, stick-axled beast. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Jason |
